Allergy Friendly at NC State – A Taste of Brazil Menu Preview

Jan.21, 2015 Who’s excited for our first dining event of 2015? I know I am! This Thursday, January 22, get ready to experience “A Taste of Brazil” at Fountain and Clark dining halls from 4:30-8:30 PM. I’m always game for trying new kinds of food, and the menu for this event looks like a good one. Here are the menu items and allergens:

Tossed Salad – No Allergens
Brazilian Carved Beef – No Allergens
Marinated Carved Pork – No Allergens
Chicken Rojo – Soy
Vegan Feijoada – Soy
Empanada Pie – Dairy, Eggs, Gluten
Brazilian Pinto Beans – Soy
Cilantro Lime Rice – Soy
Brazilian Collards – No Allergen
Brazilian Corn – Dairy, Eggs
Chicken Salad Salpicao – Dairy, Eggs
Cilantro Lime Dressing – Dairy
Artichoke, Green Bean and Palm Salad – No Allergens
Cheese Bread – Dairy, Eggs
Coconut Cake – Dairy, Eggs, Gluten, Soy
Carrot Cake – Dairy, Eggs, Gluten, Nuts, Soy
Juice Bar – No Allergens

Looks delicious! Also please note that the Cheese Bread does NOT contain gluten as it is made with tapioca flour! I’m sad to be missing out on the carrot cake and coconut cake (two of my old favorites), but there are still a variety of meats and sides to choose from! Email Lisa Eberhart (ljeberha@ncsu.edu) with any questions and see you there!
